My photo published on a baseball site

Yesterday we went to a baseball game in Holland. It was a training game between 2 Olympic teams, the Dutch versus the Cubans.

I know we wouldn't have the best place to make pictures, but I took my camera with me to the game.

Next to me there was a very nice man, Pim van Nes. He told me he was writing for some baseball sites and if I have some photos for his article I could sent them to the sites.

So when we came home I edited a couple of photos and sended it to the baseball sites.

This morning when I woke up I saw that one of the sites used one of my pictures.

My New D300

I started my photography career with a Nikon D70. I bought one after my vacation to Costa Rica. You read it right after my vacation, normal people just do that before they go to such countries, but I did it after.

To be hounest I wasn't that crazy about photography in that days, I just liked making pictures, but that was it.

But when I came back from that vacation (it was also my honeymoon), I was so dissapointed in the pictures we made with the point and shoot camera, that I immediately ran to the store and bought a reflexcamera, the D70. That was in the beginning of 2004.

I started to like making photo's more and more, but it was all in Automatic. So when I decided to do a photography course in april 2007, I became so enthousiastic, that I bought a Nikon D200.

And then Nikon announced the D300. I only had my D200 7 months, so why buy a new camera......, I decided not to buy one.

In the meantime two people from my photography course bought a D300.

The results were great. Beautiful colours and very sharp.

My doubts came back. And after I was invited to try it one day, I was gone.

So I bought one two weeks ago. What a nice camera. I still use the D200 for one of my assignments. But after that I think it will only be my backup camera.............

I also bought the af-s 24-70, but i'm still waiting for that lens.

Nice Game, Bubbles

Nice game

When I don't want to make or edit photo's, I play this game. Widget says: This addictive game is fun and easy to play. Just match 3 bubbles of the same color and clear the field before time runs out! Very nice, but it's indeed easy to become an addict.

My first day at Vox

Today is the first day I started this Vox blog. I was watching the profiles of some members from my CN at Istock and I saw the links to their blogpages.

I find it very inspiring and nice to read about all the things in their stockphotography life. So that's the way I became a Vox blogger in the first place.

I started with stockphotography in may 2007, but I didn't work that hard on my portfolio. In september 2007 I went to a photography course (I'm still following that course till november 2008), and I like photography more and more.

So now it's time to do some work on my Stockphoto portfolio's to make it look like a real job.

In this blog I hope to show you some progress the next months/years in my (stock) photography.
